Donkey Rocks 17th Nov - 1st Dec

For a fortnight in November each year, the parish of St Saviour is filled with hundreds of beautifully painted stones for you to find, take home and keep forever!

Each year explores a different character from the Nativity story. In 2020, we thought about Baby Jesus himself, followed by Mary, the mother of Jesus, Angle Gabriel and Joseph. Now in our fifth year, we are featuring Donkey #donkeyrocksguernsey !

We finish the fortnight with our ‘Rock Concert’, a family friendly celebration of the year’s chosen Nativity character, with stories, prayers and music from our church band on Sunday December 1st, 4pm. Everyone welcome.

Where can I find a Donkey rock?

The rocks are spread over the whole parish of St Saviour’s, right up to the parish boundary. Our team of rock hiders will be hiding the rocks over the whole Donkey Rocks fortnight (18th Nov - 1st Dec), so keep looking! Look in the smaller lanes, up in trees, along the coast, on walls and by abreuveurs. We hope you find a Donkey Rock this year! If you are really struggling to find one, do not worry as we will give you some clues. Just get in touch on stsaviourschurch@cwgsy.net
