Guernsey Concert Brass 25th April

Guernsey Concert Brass was formed in the 1960’s by a small group of keen
brass musicians. It grew steadily and became very popular with audiences and
was often seen at major events in the island.
 
The band has taken part in many UK-based contests. And the most worthwhile
of trips to England have been to take part in the annual Whit Friday march
contests centred on many of the villages in Yorkshire. The band won a section
prize for its playing on one of these trips. A few years ago, an online competition
was staged for which a submission of the band’s signature march “Green &
Gold” was made.
